LOS ANGELES PUBLIC LIBRARY WELCOMES VTY!
Verses Typhoon Yolanda will help inaugurate a new Filipino-American Literature section at the Panorama City Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library System!
VTY will inaugurate the section with several of the editor's books as well! Here's the list:

THIRD FILIPINO-AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL BOOK FESTIVAL
VERSES TYPHOON YOLANDA was represented at the 3rd Filipino American International Book Festival! Editor Eileen Tabios presented and briefly discussed the anthology at her panel on "Filipino American Literature in the 21st Century," moderated by Cecilia Brainard. Here is a photo coverage:

KUSOG TACLOBAN
We're pleased to announce that Kusog Tacloban is the latest recipient of funds raised from sales of Verses Typhoon Yolanda! From their website:
Join us in our plans for 2015 – providing sustainable, integrated community interventions in Leyte in the aftermath of typhoon Haiyan.
The goal is to build back better lives.
Focus of Kusog Tacloban's next round of projects will be small, rural barangays in Leyte, with the goal of community empowerment and an emphasis on organic farming, sustainable health practices, education, and training in good governance and citizenship.

VTY REPRESENTED AT CENTER FOR ART AND THOUGHT EXHIBITION
"STORM: A TYPHOON HAIYAN RECOVERY PROJECT" is curated by Johanna F. Almiron and J. Lorenzo Perillo, November 2014 for the Center for Art and Thought. VTY contributor Janice Sapigao read her poem “An Invocation After Typhoon Haiyan” during their fundraiser event on Nov. 8, 2015.

CENTER FOR BABAYLAN STUDIES
We are pleased to share that the latest recipient of funds raised from sales of VERSES TYPHOON YOLANDA is the Center for Babaylan Studies (CfBS).
CfBS will work with providing relief to Haiyan survivors, specifically working with Panay Bukidnon communities devastated by the typhoon, in conjunction with the relief efforts of Sonoma County, CA.
We thank CfBS for their ongoing outreach to various communities around the world, including those affected by Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines.
